Description

"Third Wish" is a fisherman's dream. One should not be concerned with this beauty's age as she presents herself as a much newer vessel and is built with a solid, one piece molded fiberglass construction. Her present owner has meticulously maintained her for the last 8 years. The previous owner invested nearly 400K in a complete refit in 2008. If you are looking for a true sportfish that can handle rough ocean conditions in comfort, has proven herself in the fish she can catch, without it costing an arm and a leg, "Third Wish" is the vessel for you.
Her Profile is that of a classic sportfisherman with a high foredeck and sweeping sheerline with a low freeboard cockpit. Solid fiberglass construction and great seakeeping qualities have made the 45 Convertible a favorite among tournament minded anglers. Her two stateroom, galley down interior includes a spacious main salon with a spacious cockpit. The Hatteras gets high marks for good all around fishability.
NOTE: In June of 2019 the Starboard engine had a complete overhaul and is showing 210 hours since the overhaul.
Here is what the owner has to say about Third Wish;
WHY IN THE HECK DID I EVER BUY THIS BOAT? Answer: There is not enough bling on planet earth to make a 27 ft foot boat as safe, comfortable and fishable as a 45? HATTERAS. I thought I was going to die offshore doing what I loved, and it was time for something more substantial. I looked at many boats but the research that I did pointed out that this hull was made when Rockwell International owned Hatteras and used solid fiberglass with zero wood coring. Built to last 100 years. This is one of the strongest hulls ever made and commonly called a ?battle axe?. The 660hp Caterpillar engines, Twin Disc transmissions, running gear and generator came out of a new 54-foot Sea Ray that had a galley fire and were installed in 2003-2004. The prior owner spent $380,000 on the refit and upgrades and did a beautiful job.

The boat is very fast (33 knots) for its size and weight and really handles big seas well. I installed trolling valves which work very well for slow trolling rockfish and when landing big offshore fish. This boat has proved itself whether taking 18 people out to watch fireworks or 10 people offshore, it?s never left me stranded. The two VHF radios, radar, life raft, sea anchor (18-foot parachute drone) provide peace of mind when a storm is bearing down. Everything is in working order. Engines and transmissions run strong and have no problems. I really love this boat but now physically unable to use it as I once did. Videos and photos of the boat in action can be seen by contacting the broker. This boat is majestic and magnificent and will provide many more years of service. It is truly one of the best purchases I?ve ever made. I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you see it in person.
