Mechanical Equipment

Cat 3208TA's with under 800 hours push the boat along at comfortable and economical 25 miles an hour burning around 15 gallons per hour (per engine).   The Onan 9000 watt enclosed generator runs quiet and smooth.   It will run everything on the boat.   The boat has dual amp service for flexibility at any marina (has 50 AMP cablemaster system, plus 30 AMP single shorepower connection).  Promarine ProSine 2000 Watt inverter will run all outlets and refrigeration while at anchor (should you not want to run the generator). 

Everything on the boat works as it should.

2018- New Softgoods throughout Cockpit and cabin (all new seating surfaces inside and out. 

2019- New Cockpit refrigerator and all new Garmin electronics package (Includes 2 12" displays, VHF, Radar and Reactor Autopilot with Shadow Drive)

2020- Custom Mattress in forward stateroom, new MarineAire Salon 16k btu AC System.  Valve adjustement on engines, new raw water intake hoses.  Props scanned and tuned.  Installed new 2000 watt inverter (runs all refrigeration and oulets throughout the boat without Gen or shore power)

2021- New Marvel Salon Refriderator.  Installed new dash panel with updated layout to accomodate Pyro and boost guages.   Installed new digital hour meters.  Added Garmin handheld auto pilot remote.  Upgrade ground tackle to all chain, 225'. 

2022- Bottom Job completed with soda blasting, barriar coat and bottom paint.  5 Seablaze X2 Under water Lights installed.  Macerator option installed.   5 new group 31's for house loads.  Drop fins added to trim tabs. 

2023- Aftercoolers pressure tested and cleaned.  Props scanned and tuned with paper work    

History of the boat: This Tiara was slipped in fresh water from 1999-2020.   During its life on the great lakes, the owner stored it indoors in the winters and took amazing care of the boat.   I purchased the boat the fall of 2020.  The boat was flawless when I purchased it and it is still flawless today.   Polished and waxed every season along with normal preventative maintainence as needed.   Everything works on this boat. 

This boat will comfortable sleep 4 adults easily (up to six if you include the drop down dinette).  The master head features jack and jill doors for access from the salon and the master stateroom.  The aft cabin features a queen sized berth and its own head and vanity.   Seating on this Tiara is amazing.   In the cockpit there are two large tables that lift on hydraulics and allow for seating of up to 9.   The tables are completely height adjustable and can act as coffee tables as well.    The optional camper back canvas set allows you to engjoy the boat even during inclement weather.   Food and beverage storage is handle by the beverage fridge in the cockpit, the large undercounter fridge and freezer in the galley.   We have been able to pack and store enough food for 4-5 days (feeding 3) easily.

The storage on this boat is amazing.   Lots of storage lockers under almost every seat with mulitple cedar lined closets in the master stateroom.

Both seaworthy and luxurious, the Tiara 4000 Express was designed for those who want to do more with their boat than dock or anchor. Tiara's 105-cubic-foot compartment in the transom offers more room for more gear. Tiara has made its staterooms a priority by designing the 4000 with space for a master queen-sized and an aft double-sized berth. They each have at least seven feet of headroom. Wide side decks, an integral grab handle on the radar arch, an oversized step, and cockpit lighting, make the transition from cockpit to deck safe and convenient.

What makes this boat a standout-

Real mattress in the master stateroom!   This matress was custom made and is home-grade quality.  Constructed with a combination of coil springs and foam, it will be like sleeping at home.  Mattress was purchased in Spring 2021. 

Factory Hard Top- This is a $35k option from Tiara.  No canvas to deal with, leak or replace. 

Updated Garmin Package- No circa 2000 electronics.  The entire electronics package has been updated to today's standards.

Soft good all updated since original- All seating surfaces offer a plush feel and look near new.   If you have looked at other 40 expresses with original seating surfaces, you will observe there is viritually no support and the ultra leather is worn.   The salon is covered in highend stain resistant home quality fabric and has all new cushions (2018).   New headliners throughout the cabin.  You will not find dropping headliners commonly found in boats of this vintage.

Camper canvas back- this set up allows for longer season and more living space during inclement weather. 

Weave Carpeting throughout the cockpit

Many major components updated- New cockpit fridge, new galley Marvel galley fridge.  New 3 burner flush mount cooktop.  16k BTU Salon AC/Heat system replaced. 

Clean engine room- no smells or stains.   Everything works and is in shipshape order. 

All hydraulics work- it is common to find 40 expresses with inoperable hydraulic tables, garage doors or engine hatches.  All components operate as they should and have been maintained regularary.
