Description

This 2007 Nordic Tug 37 is the perfect combination of a near-cruiser-style boat with added range. You’ll enjoy all the comforts of a roomy cabin with air and heat throughout and an ample back deck and upper deck for seating or fishing. What you don’t have is that cavernous feel because the windows and sliding doors throughout create plenty of ambient light.

This NT-37 is the pilot house model with two staterooms. The mid-ship port stateroom has a convertible bunk, and the master forward stateroom has a custom queen size mattress that comes with custom sheets. The head is starboard mid-ship and has a separate shower with a porthole and a built-in seat. The head is macerating.

The galley is aft with a spacious L-shaped dinette to port. The convection microwave, three burner stove, refrigerator and separate freezer are all electric – no propane aboard!

All cabin soles are teak and holly (except the head) and are in very good condition. Air conditioning throughout the entire cabin can be controlled from multiple thermostats. The heat pump heat/cool setup has three units: two that together condition the main cabin and pilothouse that are 12kbtu each, and one that conditions both staterooms that is 16kbtu.

There is a 6-person life raft which has never been used, and an Avon Redcrest (pictured).

You’ll be eager to get underway with the Raymarine E120 chart plotter radar, GPS, depth/speed, and autopilot. The owner describes the instrumentation to be working flawlessly.

The 425 horsepower Cummins diesel engine is a factory installed upgrade to the top-of-the-line model which has a better heat exchanger. This fuel-efficient Cummins electronically controlled diesel engine reaches speeds of up to 17 knots and is reported by the manufacturer to burn less than three gallons per hour at cruising speed of 14 knots. This performance is due to the 37’s semi-displacement hull. As speed increases, the bow comes up then levels off as the boat rises out of the water. Though she’s not a "go-fast" boat, the 37 is very nimble at speed, gliding across the top of the water on her hand-laid fiberglass hull with hard chine and full keel. Solid craftsmanship…and performance!

CONDITION

The Onan generator has 205 hours, and the Cummins has 606 hours. Always professionally maintained, both are described by the owner to be in good working order.

The freshwater tank was upgraded to stainless steel, replacing the standard aluminum issue.

The bottom was painted November 2020 so you won’t be needing that for at least several years. The AGM start/thruster batteries were replaced November 2020 as well.  A few years ago the wiper arms/motors were redone, as well as the freshwater pump, alternator, thruster motor, and house battery bank.
