Accommodations

INTERIOR ACCOMMODATIONS
MACH3 has the 'classic' Hallberg-Rassy 49 layout in the front: with Guest accommodations forward consisting of the "V" berth all the way forward; a Second Cabin with over and under bunks to starboard;
and the 'charter' layout aft; the Master Stateroom comes with a centerline queensize beth and in the Main Salon; you will find the easy chairs.
Galley; and Navigation Station amidships. Interior joinery work is hand rubbed African light mahogany, and the cabin sole is teak and holly with a high gloss finish. The overhead is white vinyl with mahogany trim. Headroom is 6'5" in the main saloon, and 6'4" in the aft cabin.
The HR49 was a particularly successful model since it provides enormous volume for her size, huge storage capacity, more than acceptable sailing performance, easy maintenance and rugged good looks.

Master Cabin
The HR 49 carries her beam well aft, and the master stateroom is one of the most spacious of any similar size cruising yacht. A large centerline queensize beth and seats on both sides. From your beth you can check easily the navigation instruments, the autopilot and check weatherupdates. There is storage throughout, and a hanging locker forward to port.

Guest Staterooms
From the bow aft, there is a large chain and rode locker that is isolated from the accommodation area by a watertight collision bulkhead. The forward guest stateroom has an oversized (6'9") V berth with upholstered seat between and with locker storage above. Aft to port is a hanging locker and opposite to starboard is a bureau with drawers. Light and air are provided by a large deck hatch and two opening portlights.
Next aft to starboard is another guest cabin with over / under berths. Across the hallway to port is the forward guest head and stall shower. A vanity outboard; a electric toilet with holding tank and the large stall shower is aft. Light and air are provided by a deck hatch and one opening portlight

Main Salon
Aft of the forward guest cabins and full width of the boat, is the well-appointed main saloon, where one fully appreciates the large volume of the HR49. To starboard is an L-shaped settee and to port the two easy chairs. The table has two folding leaves, and seats with storage underneath. The settee have storage behind the backrest. Additional storage is built in above and outboard of the port settee, and the starboard settee has both open bookshelves and cabinet storage above and outboard. Light and ventilation are provided by two opening overhead hatches and four opening ports.

Galley
The U-shaped Galley is located in the starboard after quarter of the saloon amidships. The galley is convenient to both the saloon dining area and the companionway to the cockpit. Although configured to be secure in a seaway offshore, you will find an abundance of counter space and work area for gourmet style meals when in harbor. There is a generous amount of storage in and about the galley.
Two burner stainless steel oven & stove
Top loading refrigeration
Separate freezer aft of nav station
Stainless steel sink
Nespresso coffee machine

Navigation Center and Electronics
The Navigation Station is forward facing and located in the port after quarter of the main saloon directly adjacent to the companionway to the cockpit. The full-sized navigation desk has a lift top with storage beneath, additional drawer storage, and a large comfortable seat. Aft of the navigation station is the passageway leading to the aft cabin, which contains a wet locker, access to the engine room, a freezer, and additional storage.

1991 Hallberg-Rassy HR-49 Sloop

MACH3 is without a doubt the finest Hallberg-Rassy 49 on the market today and fully equipped and ready to go. A proven and popular blue water cruiser, MACH3 has been owned by the same family since 11 years and has been loved beyond measure for her entire life. Starting in 2018, she received a refit that made her as “like new” as they come. Everything from her exterior varnish, awlgrip, & stainless, to the varnished cabin sole is in excellent condition throughout. Unlike so many of her sisterships, she is easy to singlehand thanks to her furling main & jib, electric winches, and bow thruster. She represents an opportunity seldom seen to acquire a pristine boat that is fully ready for her next owner to show the world.
