Lower Accommodations

Just to starboard of the centerline helm is a door that slides open to access the lower accommodations. Three steps down brings you in the salon/galley area. The Cabo interior finish is clean, simple, and like the rest of the boat best in class. The salon sole is solid teak and holly, a factory option, and all the cabinetry is solid satin finished teak. No high gloss milky veneer finishes like on other manufacturers.

To Starboard is the L shaped ultra-leather sofa with high gloss teak table. This table is removable and then the sofa transforms into a pull out bed and the back flips up to create a bunk. Also to stbd aft is a large stand up rod locker.

To port is the galley and aft is a full head.  Features include:

Engine Room

The engine room on the 40 Cabo has a glassed in gel coat liner that makes clean up a breeze. Fluids, oil or dirt does not get into the fiberglass filaments and texture like other inferior finished vessels. The engine room on “Waterboy” shows exceptional, just like the rest of the vessel. When turbos and cooling system parts were removed for 2022 service and updates, they were all repainted. (pictures avail) Engine room access is from a helm deck day hatch or the helm deck will tilt it up for huge access on two large hydraulic rams. Some of the engine room equipment and maintenance highlights include:

The 2004 40' Cabo Express “Waterboy”, is a fantastic example of the 40 Cabo Express Model. Her Michael Peters hull design sets the standard by which all other boats this size are measured. She has a sharp entry with a large bow flare for a soft dry head sea ride. Her wide beam, shallow draft, and partial keel make for a stable comfortable ride in both beam and following seas. Cabo build quality, fit, finish and electrical engineering is well-known as best in class.  Immaculate is a word used far too loosely in yacht marketing, however, "Waterboy" lives up to that billing in every way. This 2004 40' Cabo Express has been given everything she has ever needed and more, during her 14 years of current ownership. No expense has been sparred in her upkeep. Records of MAN service, annual service and all underwater maintenance are available to qualified buyers. “Waterboy” has been used as a family fishing and cruising boat in the northeast. She spends her winters in an indoor heated facility. If you are in the market for a premium brand, highly customized 40 foot Express boat, your search should start and end with the 2004 40' Cabo Express “Waterboy”. Below please find a list of some of her factory options, customizations, and highlights.
