S/V Cassiopeia is a 1997 Bavaria 46E (Exclusive), a classic performance cruiser. Built to German Lloyds GL-100 AF (ALL OCEAN) specifications when that was still a thing for boat builders. She is solid, with many features indicative of a boat ready for challenging conditions. Features such as the solid stainless steel cleats are usually found only on custom yachts. This is a standard feature on all of the Exclusive models.

She has a spacious custom owner layout, with a large centerline stateroom master berth (approximately a California King size, new latex mattresses in June 2020, with covers) forward with its own head, and two queen-size berths aft with a common head with full shower. Never chartered, her original owner commissioned her for racing on Lake Constance in Germany.

The straight-line galley is amidships with a top-loading frig, recessed compartment for the induction hotplate, and counter area for the Instant-Pot. Dual sinks with single handle faucet.

Beautiful salon and table, bench has underneath storage, table includes a beautiful inlayed cover hiding wine storage area. Seating for up to eight (8) adults.

All the boat electronics, lighting, and most systems are powered by 12V, including the water maker and all the water pumps. There are 12V USB plugins in every berth on the light fixtures and in the cockpit and the the salon. The boat was designed and wired in Europe for 230V, the norm over there and in much of the Caribbean. We chose to leave it that way for efficiency. The 230V inverter powered by the Lithium house battery bank provides 230V to outlets through out the boat. These can be used to power almost everything you use. Practically all electronic devices (cell phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) are powered/charged by adapters that are designed to be used with either 110V or 230V, because they are sold and used all over the world. This includes StarLink (we currently use one on the boat). All that is necessary is a plug adapter, and we have those already. As described in the specifications, there are several 230V appliances already onboard. The hot water heater is powered by 230V from the inverter, or 240V shore power when that is available (50 amp plugin).

When the boat is plugged into shore power, if 50 amp/240V is available, a switch allows that to run the water heater. The boat was professionally wired by an electrician to allow there to be a 110V outlet available for things like hair dryers, vacuums, etc. that need 110V - 60 Hz electricity, and to power the 110V battery charger to charge the Lithium house bank.  If only 30 amp/110V is available, there are adapters to allow the shore power cord to be connected to the 30A plugin on the power pedestal, and you still have the 110V outlet available and power for the battery charger.

(If the next owner so desired, the 110V charger could be upgraded to an 110V inverter/charger to provide 110V from the house bank.)
