The capital of ancient Cantabria, the business center of Spain and the favorite resting place of the Spanish kings is Santander. Legend claims that the city on the Bay of Biscay was founded on the site of the ancient Roman port of Portus Victoriae, founded during the war with Rome with the Cantabras in 26 AD. For a better acquaintance with Cantabria, tourists can rent a yacht in Santander literally at the plane's ramp - the largest Santander marina Marina de Santander is located just a few hundred meters from Santander-Seve Ballesteros International Airport.
